Cute Winter Wonderland

Cute Winter Wonderland
Sometimes, when I see really tall girls pulling off really cute outfits, I writhe with envy. I would seriously like to be able to where riding boots and a mini skirt without looking like a very small (and very blonde) stump! But, I'll get over myself, as I always do!

As much as I gripe about MI weather and its inability to stay constant, I really do like winter. Not necessarily the cold (and definitely not the snow), but the magic of the season. You don't need blush because the windchill takes care of that for you. And you can accessorize with a different coat, each day, if it behooves you. PLUS, you can have some cute guy keep your hands warm whilst walking in this winter wonderland *blush.

Midterms went well, I think. Mostly As and one B, so pretty solid. It was a stressful week. But on a positive note, I'm a second semester senior! Woohoo! Only 4 more months. I. CAN. DO. THIS.

I went to U-M (University of Michigan) yesterday. May I say, wow. I love it there. I hope I end up with enough money to go to SMU, but if I don't, I would be THRILLED to attend U-M. Yesterday, when I was there for the admitted students tour, I couldn't help but think to myself how excited I was for next year. U-M is such an awesome school, and who doesn't love Ann Arbor?!

What has everyone else's week been like? xx Savannah

Brooks Brothers
 (still pretty expensive)

Bikini Babe: Target

1) It's orange chevron with a turquoise jewel. What's not to love?

2) Blue and white (geometric) print. In person, it looks more nautical :)

3) This fringe top covers you nicely, making sure just enough skin is exposed ;)    And it comes in orange, pink, and black!!

4) A royal blue bra top with the deep "V" neck and turquoise/yellow-y jewel makes it a show stopper!

Who's as excited for bikini season as me? xoxo Savannah

"Falling" For You

'Falling' For You

As I sit in my semi-heated house studying for midterms, I can't help but to remince on fall and all of its wonders: how easy life seemed, how carefree... how un-icy and un-frigid.   :)

Once again, more of my Jack Wills obsession. And Longchamp. And Tory Burch. This outfit is perfect for a casual, early fall date, but at the rate this weather is going, late winter too.

I love the beige/maroon/hunter green theme going on over here. It's definitely perfect. Not to mention, this, on a cute little blonde like me... Oh my goodness I'd be adorable! ;)

I wish I had the money to afford Tory Burch flats! It's on my "fashion investments" list, along with a Marc Jacobs bag, a Barbour jacket and a Lilly Pulitzer sun dress. However, I can afford Jack Wills. Because I fit their dynamic to a "T". I am the soon-to-be college student, who happens to be British!

She's a Keeper

I cannot stress how much I love Jack Wills. Really. My British fashion obsession is staring to get REALLY serious. I mean seriously, I want to buy the entire Jack Wills collection. Especially the 'jumpers' hehe!

These 'jumpers' are honestly the cutest things I've ever seen! I know they're strictly British, but I need to find somewhere in the states that sell the merchandise. Ugh!

The sweater above is from there. Is it not super cute?! Love it :)

Well since I probably won't have a valentine this year, I'll buy myself something from there. I mean, who said you can't buy happiness? Especially when happiness comes in multiple colors ;)

Adorable Oxblood

Adorable Oxblood

No lie, I have an absolute obsession with oxblood! What a great color. It literally looks good on everything/everyone.
The Hunters are actually Merlot, but close enough! The dress is from Topshop and the jacket from Coach. I love this "rainy-and-cold-yet-perfect-day" outfit. It looks really nice, but when you think about it, it calls for no real effort. That's the beauty of it: it's a functional, yet cute outfit.

I have midterms coming up next week, so if I don't end up posting in a while, I'm not neglecting you! I really do love all you who read my blog, but studies first! :)

*Just to be clear, though, oxblood is a color. Not the organ out of a large pachyderm! Hehe

What is your favorite winter color? xoxo Savannah

A Day Out to a Night Out

Fit Brit

Fit Brit

I love British fashion. No joke. Topshop is literally one of my favorites to shop at. I love how modern/hipster/sophisticated Britons look!

Of course I don't really have a stereotypical European body structure, but one can admire! Plaids are definitely my favorite. I don't know what it is about those in the UK, but they can so pull off plaids/tartans. Probably because of the English/Welsh/Irish skin complexion. Haha!

I also love how stylish they made "warm and cozy" look. I see pictures of London fashion and dreary weather, yet look as cute as can be. No fair!

What's your favorite style around the world? xoxo Savannah

It's 'Snow' Cold, I'm Blushing

It's 'Snow' Cold, I'm Blushing

Seeing as that I live in Michigan and the weather here is so unpredictable, one has to be prepared for anything. This outfit is SO cute when you go out with friends and it's snowing like the nuclear winter has come in!!! Haha!

I see these long North Face coats everywhere in the city I live in. I've tried one of these on before, and let me tell you, they are warm. But the small adult size is too long. As in it hits my calves. I'm no expert, but I don't think that's what the coat is suppose to look like on a person. Therefore I moved down to a childs XL and it was PERFECT!

Once again, my obsession with riding boots has made itself present here. I also have a soft spot for anything Kate Spade, though I can't afford really anything of hers.

As a totally different thought, I'm going to a photo shoot in an hour. Yah, my high school yearbook thought I had great fashion sense, so they want me to model for them some of my "creations". I literally could not have said "yes" any faster! Hehe.

Lot of Love

Keep Me Warm?

There's no doubt in my mind. I need to go on a winter date this year. Michigan is having a beautiful winter and I feel like I should take advantage of the situation while it lasts!

Of course, nothing can ever be certain when it comes to boys and me. Hahaha! Not many guys are lined up outside my door waiting for a date with me ;) Regardless, I want to have someone to look good for!!!

Love the Barbour jacket pictured, though it costs so much!!!! Ugh! It's so frustrating that I can't afford it! But, I'm over my rant :)

Plus, I look adorable in winter clothes. I'm like a small, sweet snow bunny. Rosy cheeks on my British/Northern Italian skin and lips is super kissable and lovable. Hehe!!!

Pretty in Pink

Pretty in Pink

I'm not afraid to say it. I love pink. I used to try to repress this love, but now I'm openly in love with it. Who doesn't love feeling girly and romantic and flirty!? Especially considering Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

Speaking of V-Day, I have a few traditions that uphold every year. Since I seem to be single for this day of love every single year, I treat myself to a month of pampering in preparation. I get a mani/pedi sometime in the next month, I plan out a flirty day outfit for the big day and a classy, yet surprisingly semi-sexy outfit for the night and find some girlfriends who are also single to party with. Super fun!

Then that night, curl into an upright fetal position in sloppy sweats, hair on top on my head, spoon in one hand, Hagaan Daz straddled between my legs, and dignity on the floor as I watch Ryan Gosling/Channing Tatum/Zac Efron in some sappy-unrealistically-romantic chick flick. Corny? Yes. Dignified? Not in the slightest. Do I really care? Nope.

I also make myself a V-Day playlist with all the sappy love ballads that have come out in the past years. This year's so far include:

1) As Long As You Love Me - Justin Bieber
2) ANY ONE DIRECTION SONG. I'm not bias ;)
3) Can't Help Falling In Love With You - Ingrid Michaelson
4) Run - Leona Lewis
5) ALL TAYLOR SWIFT SONGS. A single girl's anthem is now in soundtrack form.
6) Angel Eyes - Love and Theft
7) Wanted - Hunter Hayes
8) Storm Warning - Hunter Hayes
9) Cruise - Florida Georgia Line
10) Want You Back - Cher Llyod

Many more to come. By February 14, I'll have an updated list up!

Navy Knows Best

Navy Knows Best

I love navy. It's the absolute perfect color for any season. You can make it look sophisticated and smart, or a lazy-summer-night outfit. You really can't go wrong!

This outfit is for winter (obviously). A cream colored top and dark jeans, with tan riding boots never, I repeat, NEVER looks trashy. I'm a fan of this outfit and throwing on a navy blazer, for a more polished look.

If you've seen Coach recently, you'd notice that they're bringing back the "ramblers legacy" cross-body. I have no words for just how perfect this bag is. It comes in multiple colors. It's genuine leather. And it has a classy, understated, sleek look about it. Although, it is a bit pricey, totaling a whooping $258 a pop. I only have one because I stole it from mommy's closet ;)

The sunglasses, when I say them, I just had to use them! They're cat eyes from... DRUM ROLL PLEASE.... Tiffany & Co. How cute are they?! Tortoise shell frames with that 1950s kinda style. Very Jackie O meets Audrey.

The studs are anchors, of course. Where would I be without the quintessential mascot of the country club lifestyle? Theses specifically are from Fornash, though I bet other retailers sell something like theses. They matched the navy blazer so nicely that I had to use them!!!

Hope all is well! xoxo Savannah

New Year

New Year

Hey y'all! I know I'm off the grid again, but what can I say? I'm a busy girl!!!! Haha! New Year went by in a whirlwind and then, I had to get back to my normal routine of going to bed before morning ;)

Well, to celebrate this new year, I going to make changes in my life.
1) I graduate in approximately 4.5 months. That means I won't slack off just because I'm a "second semester senior". I have to stay focused and determined.

2) I have a pretty restrictive diet as is, with all kinds of fruits and vegetables, and the ocean-sized water bottle I carry with me at all times. But this year, I'll be even more health conscious. I have to look good for prom, spring break, and eventually college :)

3) I have a very active social life, despite my ranting and raving. So, instead of trying to make it even more "social", I'm going to put myself out there more and see what I can accomplish. I mean, who knows? (besides God)* I could find my "end-of-the-year-fling"!

4) Patience is a virtue, but not one I'm oriented with... I need to have "iron patience" and keep my cool in sticky situations. But I can do that. In fact, I can do whatever I put my mind to.

5) I will workout even more than I did last year. Of course, there's a fine line between dedication and obsession, and I think my devotion to running straddles that line evenly. I don't understand people who say "I hate exercising"!!! To me, that statement is humanly impossible. Who doesn't like endorphins?! They technically are the key to happiness!

Good Luck in this New Year!!! xoxo Savannah
