Jack Rogers

Jack Rogers. The name alone makes me do a silly little dance, skipping and clapping my hands with glee. I love these sandals. The design and colors and every cute, preppy thing about them. Right now, Jack Rogers is having their Labor Day Blowout Sale, marking down shoes on average $40. I have wanted a pair since the middle of the summer. Of course my b-day has come and past, but at that time they were uber expensive and I didn't need to put more holes in my wallet. Then, as summer comes to a saddening close, this sale is on. The ones I have my eye on are now $70. Cue the victory music. I mean, my dream ones are the patent black outline in black leather, but I could do with any pair. I'm flexible ;). But seriously, I am in love. Ta ta for now!

Ralph Lauren Polo

I love this dress so much words literally can't describe it. I have been looking for a polo dress forever and never had luck finding one I liked because usually the women's small was way too long on my petite figure. Something that would not just be for spring/summer also was a "no no". Michigan gets cold. No "if"s "and"s or "but"s. This dress is perfect. It was love at first sight in fact. It is a girls XL and fits like a dream. Plus, elbow pads! Cute! The dress isn't too form fitting, will see me into the colder months, and isn't past my knees! The dress came in a purple/black combo, but that was not my style: dark and a preppy-looking dangerous. The creamy-tomato-soup red and white looks great on my complexion and, considering it's a child's size, great on my wallet! xoxo Savannah

Forever 21

When I find clothes that fit and aren't too long, I buy them whatever the price may be. When I find cute clothes that fit AND are moderately priced, bonus! Forever 21, when you shop it out has some really cute clothes that are pretty well made. I found all three of theses dresses in the ginormous store at the outlet mall closest to me.

The geometric shift is a heavy material, but can really be worn all seasons. It hits a few inches above my knees so, I don't look as though I'm swimming in a dress.

The next one is a classy black back-zippered dress with a ribbon around the waist to help accentuate the little curve I have. A simple pearl necklace and some nude flats showcase its very classy style, while subtly dressing it up.
The next black dress is a side zip sweetheart neck with a mesh high neck overlay. It's more casual than the previous ribbon dress, so it is a must have in the summer. A pair of cowgirl boots and bronze jewelry, can you say "laid back chique"?!

J. Crew

My name's Savannah and I'm a J. Crew-aholic. Both of these I got at the J. Crew Outlet, so, obviously they were reasonably priced. The sweater, I believe, is the Jackie pullover in Jade. Super cute with the white City-fit Chinos above, as well as my J. Crew skirt/ jeans. The shorts are another one of my loves. The City-fit is the perfect fit for me. Not too high, not too butt-cheeks-hangin' low. I replaced my old white shorts with these and am uber glad I did. They look adorable with the sweater below (previously stated), a striped blouse, or a crew neck tee (obviously not white... I don't need to look sterile-and-hospital-like) Nonetheless, really were a great buy, the both of them.

OOTD

My new J. Crew skirt came in the mail! It is the perfect length, considering my petite body size, and waist. I got it online at the J. Crew Factory store for $30. What a steal! Please ignore the camera adding 10lbs ;) Right now it's paired with a grey crew neck tee from Gap and pearls. Swoon, too cute! The skirt also looks wonderful with any blouse or pull-over sweater. xoxo Savannah

Nordstroms

Not my best picture, but none the less, one of my favorite sweaters! It's kind of a funny story how I acquired it. I was at a very fancy yacht club for a 4th of July party. That day, I left to hang out with a girlfriend of mine for a few hours. Long story short, I got poured on. No joke, it was a tsunami. In Michigan. Well, I went back to the club and tried to warm up again. One of the members saw me shivering and called me over to her. She took me to a counter and disappeared for a minute or two. When she came back, she was carrying this sweater. Then, she gave it to me, no charge. Apparently it was a "lost and found" that was never claimed... And because of my frigid condition, it will never be ;) Anyways, the sweater was a Nordstrom's Small Petite, which is my exact size, and can be paired with just about anything: jeans and a tee, khakis and a blouse, printed shorts and a polo.

Ann Taylor LOFT

Stripped, high necked, and slightly nautical. Perfect with khakis, jeans, skirts, and shorts. Really, this top is so versatile that I could wear it every day for a week and never repeat an outfit. No joke. And, not to mention, LOFT now has a Petite section. Perfect for "shorties" like me and extremely cost effective. Much like most of my wardrobe, it is a statement piece that can be paired with a neutral base and colorful jewelry. Love it!

H&M

One, who doesn't love paisley?! Two, orange/hot pink/yellow/white/black is classy and bright. I am so so SO glad I bought these. My best friend Brian had to convince me to buy them in early spring last year. They were about $25 and I wasn't sure if I wanted to use up all my money (I'm relatively poor during the school months!) But, he told me I should get them because I looked cute in them. They are high waist-ed and just long enough to abide by school regulations. They are cute dressed down with a white crew neck tee, or dressed up with a black/peach blouse.

Put Some Prep in that Step

J. Crew

This is the blouse that started it all. It was the piece that inspired me to change up my fashion sense and put effort into how I looked. I got it for $8 at a Plato's Closet on Spring Break 2012. When I got it home, endless possibilities flooded my head. "I can wear it with this... I can wear it with that... Ohhh isn't that cute...!" It's a plain white blouse with a V-neck ruffle. Simple yet elegant. I could wear it up with a black skirt and pearls, or down with jeans and a funky necklace. So, to this blouse I am indebted. A new outlook on life started when I put on a "hand-me-down" J. Crew blouse.

Happy Birthday to me!

Seventeen years ago today, I made my appearance in this world. It's hard to believe time flies by so fast. Just yesterday it seems I was having my 7th birthday party in my backyard and I was opening presents on my Powerpuff girl chair :) Thank you to God and all the wonderful people in my life. It's been an adventure! xoxo Savannah

Tommy Hilfiger

My absolute favorite summer sweater. It's Tommy Hilfiger and nautical striped, what more can a girl ask for? It looks awesome with a plain cargo dress and flats... Or a blouse, jeans and Sperrys. Love how light it is too. On would think pullovers would be more substantial and heavy, but oh no, not this one! xoxo Savannah

Gap

Okay, I never realized how cute Gap really is. I mean I thought the only people that look cute in Gap are people my mom's age, grade schoolers, and twig-like-girls. But then I'm surprised by them! This dress is unbelievably cute. It's adorable with gladiator sandals, heels, chunky heels, and cowgirl boots. It has that girly flare with the monochromatic daisies and Aztec looking patterns on the edges of the dress. SO perfect as a spring/summer sundress, a fall "boot dress", and a winter "tights and flats" dress. I got it at an outlet mall, so the price didn't kill me. At first I was hesitant because I found it in the first store I walked into, so I didn't want to limit myself. But at the end of the day, I knew this was the dress for me and went back to buy it. Of course, while I was gone, all smalls on the rack were bought... thus, naturally, I had the sales assistant take the last small off the mannequin and put another one on her. I digress :) As Elle Woods would say "snaps for me!"

Preppy iPhone cases

As a connoisseur of all things preppy, I feel it is my right to dress my iPhone up in the cutest 'clothes' ever. Of course I'm joking at this particular moment, but, seriously, their are some ADORABLE iPhone cases out there. One of maybe my next ventures is buying one even though I have the grace of a drunken mule, so I might be sticking to my indestructible case for a while. However, a girl can dream.

American Eagle

As promised, a piece from my wardrobe. This is my American Eagle puff vest from a couple years ago. I got it on sale right after Christmas of sophomore year and the moment I saw it, I knew it had to be mine! It was almost like destiny ( I mean, something on sale, in your favorite color, in your size, and in the dead of winter, why wouldn't you buy it? ) Unfortunately, I lost weight in between the time I bought it and now, so it's slightly big on me. But no matter, it has adjustable bungee straps at the bottom to give me a little more of a form fitting feel. It's not as cute as the new J. Crew 'puffer vests' out now, but this is still mine and works for me. I can wear it with just a plain long sleeve crew neck tee, jeans and my new boots for fall, and a hoodie, jeans and Sperrys during winter. It's perfect for football games, long walks in the colder months, and trying to maintain a healthy body temperature in the icebox I call school.  xoxo Savannah

Ralph Lauren Rugby Fall 2012

First and foremost, the entire Ralph Rugby collection screams collegiate. I see nothing wrong with bucket hats, polo shirts, knee socks, and button up skirts. Actually, I wish everyone had the ability to look that comfy and that cute at the same time. But, off my rant... It's finally here! All the Fall collections are coming out, tempting and inspiring me all in one fell swoop!

Knee socks in argyle! Love! The turquoise with the leather black stiletto loafers. I wish I was tall enough to pull that off!
Can you say cute? From the striped scarves to the rugby polos to the neutral colored sweaters, this look has 'collegiate' written all over it!
That ruffle blouse is enough to make me swoon. And paired with that vertical striped blazer, so Ralph...

Lilly Pulitzer Planners

I believe I have found the next greatest thing since sliced bread. Planners! Lilly Pulitzer to be exact. I'm not much of a planner girl, but if I was writing things down in something that looked as cute as these, I would definitely remember to use it! With such bright and fun colors/patterns, I will be the preppiest... and brightest.... student at school :)

Lilly Pulitzer Fall 2012

Hi y'all! This is part of Lilly Pulitzer's Fall 2012 collection that I am in love with! The patterns are enough to make me swoon but then, as Lilly always does, she comes up with the cutest and most versatile clothes I've ever seen. You go Lilly!
Swoon! Look at that cardigan! So much Lilly, too little money!!!
Who doesn't love polka dots?
That shirtdress is too perfect. I can't function. I so need one.
