Merry Xmas to Me

Merry Xmas to Me

OMGSH! I am so sorry everyone! I know it seems like I basically dropped off the face of the Earth, but I had good reason!!! The Christmas holiday is such a hectic time of year between driving to and from relatives, spending part of the holiday with mom, and the other half with dad, I can hardly keep track anymore!

I am so excited! This holiday has been one of the best I've had. I got a whole new wardrobe and all kinds of goodies between my mother and father's families. I am one lucky little girl! From Daddy's side, I received all new running gear (tops, shorts, t-shirts, socks, gloves, etc), bubble necklaces, books, and my dream jeans (Lucky Brand - Charlie Baby Boot). Mommy's side got a new wardrobe from Forever 21 (quality items much to my surprise), J.Crew, and Nordstrom's. Mum got me my Viva La Juicy (perfect considering I was almost out!) and my Fossil tote. (She also bought me my iPhone 4S, Sperry loafers, and Jacks so technically I had Xmas earlier in the year too).

It's been a jam packed week and I'm not even halfway done with break. Tonight I'm off to see Jersey Boys (a surprise gift from Mom) and then just relax over the weekend!

How was everyone's Christmas? xoxo Savannah

Behold My Future... So Far

Behold My Future... So Far

Hey y'all! Guess what?! I've been accepted to college! How great is that?! Above are the places I've been accepted to so far. I have been truly blessed to have decisions, and that all the universities I've applied to accepted me. I am, however, waiting for the University of Rochester to get back to me, but I'm content with what I have now.

I have been accepted to my top three (Southern Methodist University, University of Michigan, and Texas Christian University), so I have some decisions to make now. But that being said, I also have to be aware of cost. As of this moment, I have some fantastic scholarships to: Michigan State, SMU, and Loyola University Chicago. Tuition, without aid is enough to kill you, but I have to keep my nose to the books and keep on working towards my dream.

Please pray for me as I try to get scholarships, and in the end, make the final decision on my future! xoxo Savannah

Holiday Special

Holiday Special

Have holly jolly Christmas! It truly is the best time of the year!!! And where there is Christmas, there are parties. I love Christmas time, as I've said before. And it is the most magical time of year, especially in Michigan. How the snow blankets the outside while the lights off the water shimmer like little floating stars can really mesmerize a person... Well, I'll stop day dreaming now!

What I really love is fancy Christmas parties! I love dresses and and heels and sparkly necklaces/earrings/bracelets/bags... let's be honest, I'm a girl with an eye for things that glitter. I have plans to go to a few this season, so I need a standard outfit. I'm personally a fan of the one above. The H&M dress has the ability to be dressed up, and later in the night, down. Black pumps with a black clutch is simple and classy, but the fun and colorful necklace adds a new dimension to this Xmas party staple!

What do y'all wear to fancy Christmas dinner parties? xoxo Savannah

Winter Date

Winter Date

Hey y'all! I know it's been awhile, but I've been a busy girl! My auntie came in town from Texas (my favorite state) and stayed with us. I love my aunt! She's one of those amazing people that you truly admire. Plus, every time she comes in town, we go shopping!!! I got a lot of cute things that I'll share a little later on!

The main reason I made this post is this season's cheer. I love Christmas time and I love all the trimmings: trees, lights, eggnog, candy canes, and cocoa. But, what I love the most is walking with someone (wink*wink*) in the snow. It is such a magical time of year, and spending part of it with someone special makes it even more wonderful. A comfy turtleneck, cute scarf, and cute boots make the season bright. Plus, rosy lips look sooo much more kissable... hehe ;)

Anyways, I'm missing just one tiny detail... the guy. No problem though! God rewards those who are patient!!!

What is your favorite part of the season? xoxo Savannah

Wedding!

Peter & Breanne 12-8-12

My cousin Pete got married yesterday! I just love weddings, and especially my family weddings. I mean who doesn't love loud Italians partying until daylight!? But, seriously, I had the greatest time and the girl he married is such a sweetheart. They're perfect for each other and I am so happy for them. Not to mention, I met someone who loves all things preppy, like me!!!! How crazy is that?! We spent a good part of the night discussing fashion and prep culture. SO fun! I saw all of my cousins (which is a good number) and met so many interesting people. I know I am truly blessed to have been a part of that wonderful occasion.

All I can say is, when's the next wedding?

Prom Dresses

Prom. The epitome of high school and the celebration of an end. I live in a SUPER small town, where I've gone to school with the same people for 12 years. Our city is lovingly nicknamed "The Bubble", due to the closeness of this city and it's residents.

But long story short (and off my rant), prom. I literally cannot wait for it. It is almost every girls dream (and of course, her wedding) . Our prom is almost a holiday in our town, so the girls go all out. I would love to pull off some of the dresses they do, but the fact of the matter is I really don't have the body type. I consider myself normal weight, am I'm doing nothing to drastically change that. What I mean is, I am tiny. I'm not even five feet tall, so long dresses really are out of the question. I mean, why would you buy a dress, only to cut off, basically, half of it? You wouldn't. I also am not a fan of strapless. On most people, they look stunning. On me, not so much. I have broad runner's shoulders, so I tend to look daintily "masculine". That surely will NOT impress my date...

Therefore, I've accepted my fate. I will most definitely will have to wear a short dress with some sort of strap. Luckily, I can pull of one strap, so I'm not too depressed.

Here are a few I was looking at:
Scala
French Connection
Lilly Pulitzer Emmy

How Many More Days Til' Summer?

How Many More Days Til' Summer?
No joke. I hate Michigan weather. It's cold and rainy all. the. time. It isn't that I don't like cold weather (actually it opens a lot doors concerning fashion choices) but the dreariness is truly draining. Therefore, as most people can infer, I love summer. Nothing is more beautiful than a Michigan summer night. So, I thought, before we delve into this never-ending-tundra-of-a-season, I'd do an ode to Lilly, Jack, and J.Crew

On another note, my auntie and uncle are coming in town next week for my cousin's wedding! *Cue the cheers* I am so excited to see them! Especially because they'll be here when letters from colleges start rolling in. I feel as though they've been an active part of my schooling in order for me to attend school down South. Where it's warm... unlike Michigan. But long story short, I am jumping up and down and marking days off my colorful planner, dancing with excitement!

What's y'alls favorite season? xoxo Savannah
